A Saturday Night Entry ...

... and I'm not going anywhere tonight except going through the list of things to do in the months ahead. It's a good list, it's a good feeling. It's weird -- M's not by my side, yet I feel fuzzy thinking of the things we'll be doing together. Insya'Allah.

The past few weeks have been crazy with me pinning down some details on my marriage. I don't know where to begin with this post -- and if only I could post a gantt chart in this blog detailing my preparation. Lol, the methodical virgo in me had actually prepared this chart and it really calms me to see almost all the major tasks have been done. Other than a few adjustments or initial hiccups, the progress, in general has been smooth, Alhamdullilah.

Stuff like the caterer, venue, logistics, ROMM registration, preparatory course have all been arranged for or attended to. I even have a great project manager, who happens to be my sister! Lol! In a couple of days M will be leaving for umrah [mini pilgrimage] with her parents and I'm so elated they finally got the necessary visa from Saudi. It's her second trip to Mecca, and I could only wish for a bit of blessings from her journey. We promised to do some serious shopping when she returns. That's something to look forward to!

Much happened at the work place, mainly preparing the groundworks for the upcoming project in July. Finally! The date has been set and I could see the horizon. I've been joking with my colleague that I will go berserk if this was delayed any longer or loomed in August. To be fair to me, I don't think I will be able to give much focus if that were to happen, really. I got a merit increment yesterday and along with 3 other colleagues, a recognition for our 2006 work with a corny name Star Performance engraved on the award. Lol! I can go on giving you rants on how that turned out but I'm not mad yet. Some colleagues mentioned in jest, "Jangan jadi star karat ..." [which means 'Don't be a rusty star'] Lol! The term 'star karat' has all the connotations of bad attitude, punk'd ass person. Personally I thought it embodies a certain comic ability in acting out like a f***ed-up fiend!

It's Maulidur Rasul today -- the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. For those who wish to know a bit more about him, Wikipedia provides some reference. Read with care and read like the person seeking true knowledge, so you may benefit.

Everyone Loves a Third Place-Finisher!

Elliott Yamin's upcoming album. He really took his own sweet time with this.
