Allegretto, by Carulli. It's a new piece I'm currently learning. One glance at it - and it looks pretty easy. But a deceptive piece it is - as it managed to make me sound really bad when I tried to play it on first sight read.

I Love you Aceh Child ...

Lately I find it rather vacuous to come in here and put in any sort of entry. Till I found this picture of an Aceh boy who wills himself to drink and live the tsunami horrors. Then it hits on me - what fucking right have I got to be feeling listless? I'm nothing compared to this miracle child!

Among the orphans in Aceh was an 11 year old girl whose entire family has been killed. She said "I'm alright as long as I don't think about my family. It's easiest when I'm asleep. I have a sister-in-law and a friend but I don't know where they are". Imagine one of your nieces or nephews going through such trauma.
